Mad Max

Η πρώτη ταινία της Αυστραλιανής τριλογίας; (το "Mad Max 4: Fury Road" η τέταρτη της σειράς, βρίσκεται στο στάδιο της "προ-παραγωγής") του σκηνοθέτη George Miller, με καταγωγή από τα Κύθηρα, με τον Mel Gibson προστάτη του νόμου στο πρώτο του πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο οδηγώντας το κίτρινο Ford Falcon, να κυνηγά μια παρανοϊκή συμμορία μοτοσικλετιστών ενώ ήταν έτοιμος να αποσυρθεί και να χαρεί την γυναίκα και τον μικρό του γιο.
Η μοίρα δεν τον αφήνει και βρίσκει νεκρό το γιο του και βαριά τραυματισμένη τη γυναίκα του από τους τύπους της συμμορίας, όπου τελικά τους σκοτώνει και παίρνει την εκδίκηση του.
(Στο επόμενο της σειράς το "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior" αποκαλύπτεται ότι και η γυναίκα του πεθαίνει από το βαρύ τραυματισμό της).
Το σενάριο μπορεί να είναι συνηθισμένο, όμως η ταινία έχει από τις καλύτερες σκηνές καταδίωξης γυρισμένες στις απέραντες ασφάλτους όπου η παρέκκλιση από το δρόμο μοιάζει εντελώς ακίνδυνη σε αντίθεση με τη παράνοια, την εκκεντρικότητα των χαρακτήρων, τα ακροβατικά κατορθώματα και τη βία που πετάγονται απ' την οθόνη και πιάνουν τον θεατή απ' το λαιμό.
